Kelvin Grove Village benefits from housing Australia's first site dedicated to experimentation and commercial development in the creative industries – known as QUT's Creative Industries Precinct.

The precinct is a destination for location, national and international productions, exhibitions and events which showcases emerging digital and new media work. Interactive exhibition spaces, an experimental black-box theatre, a parade ground and outdoor terraces ideal for multi-media performance all present an expansive program of exhibitions, live performance, screenings, festivals and seminars. The Precinct also boasts Australia's largest billboard - 45m x 9m - exhibiting public artwork from some of Australia's most prolific artists and designers.

The Creative Industries Faculty delivers courses in communication design, creative writing, dance, drama, fashion design, film and television, journalism, media communication, music and sound, and visual arts.
