The Department of Housing and QUT share the same vision for a sustainable, liveable community at the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, and have jointly developed its infrastructure, including roads, parks and land subdivision. Each partner is now responsible for developing their own sites within the Village.
The Department of Housing will progressively sell its land to developers for the design and construction of residential, retail and mixed-use developments in line with the Village’s vision and Master Plan. It will then be up to the successful developer to construct and market the facility.
QUT will be constructing a mix of educational, research and community buildings over the next 10 years, and will appoint a managing contractor for each development.
