Brisbane Housing Company

The External link Brisbane Housing Company has developed four sites across the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, delivering 155 units to help meet the growing demand for rental accommodation in the near-city area for people on low to medium incomes.

The Brisbane Housing Company developments add to the diverse mix of housing options in the Village. The units have been developed according to the design guidelines for the Village, and are architecturally designed to blend with neighbouring buildings in the new community.

The Brisbane Housing Company is a not-for-profit organisation developed by the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council to expand the availability of affordable rental housing, particularly in inner and near-city areas. Rents in Brisbane Housing Company properties are set at approximately 75% of the market rate, and most tenants are eligible for Commonwealth Government Rent Assistance.
