Student accommodation opens its doors in the Village

Campus Living Villages [Kelvin Grove] has recently opened its student residence which is nestled in the heart of the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, right on the doorstep of the Queensland University of Technology’s Kelvin Grove Campus. It offers students from tertiary institutions across Brisbane a range of fully furnished and self-contained apartments in one, two, three, five and six bedroom configurations all catering for a diverse range of student needs.

This notable development recently welcomed its newest residents, who are the first to experience all that the Village has to offer to modern day students. With high-speed Internet, wireless hotspots, a resource centre and a soon to be opened tapas bar, Campus Living Villages [Kelvin Grove] ensures students remain connected to both their studies and the wider Village community.

If you are a tertiary student, don’t miss the opportunity to live in Brisbane’s newest and most exciting student village.

Summer of the Seventeenth Doll

Summer of the Seventeenth Doll

The Summer of the Seventeenth Doll depicts the fortunes of cane cutters Barney and Roo, who travel south every year to spend their layoff in the house of Roo's girlfriend, Olive. Year after year, they bring with them a kewpie doll as a symbol of their long-standing ‘arrangement’.

But this year, time and circumstance have conspired to change things forever and no one, not even the youthful and naïve Bubba from next door, will emerge unscathed from the summer of the seventeenth doll.

A new production of Ray Lawler’s play in the intimate Roundhouse Theatre is a theatrical event not to be missed.
