Attention developers - mixed-use sites for sale |
 |
| |
The Department of Housing has released two more blocks of land at the Kelvin Grove Urban Village for sale by expression of interest.
The two blocks, lots 30 and 31, are being offered to the market as either individual or combined sites, giving developers maximum flexibility. The sites are mixed-use and can be developed as commercial or residential with retail frontage at street level. They are located in a prime position on the corner of the main street, Musk Avenue.
Savills and PRDnationwide have been appointed joint sales agents, with expressions of interest closing at 5pm on Wednesday 31 May 2006. The details of the sale are available from the project website at www.kgurbanvillage.com.au/development/sites.shtm |

Water wise strategy for Village landscape |
 |
| |
With Brisbane heading towards Level 3 water restrictions in the coming weeks, steps have been taken at the Kelvin Grove Urban Village over recent months to reduce the water needed to maintain lawns and landscaping.
A biodegradable foam product has been applied to the root systems of lawns and trees to help the soil hold water, air and nutrients and reduce the need for watering. Computerized water sensing devices have also been installed to monitor surrounding soil moisture content so already moist areas are not watered unnecessarily.
Under the current level 2 restrictions, the irrigation system has been switched off and any additional watering is carried out by a water tanker truck using purchased water. The estate management consultants for the Village are liaising with the Brisbane City Council to establish how Level 3 restrictions will impact on public parks and landscaping. |
