New website showcases the Village
The Kelvin Grove Urban Village has launched a brand new website, with an updated design to match the new project branding, improved navigation and new features including an events calendar.
The new website profiles the developments that are completed, underway or planned, as well as the community development initiatives in place to support the new community. Popular information from the previous site, including the section on residential developments and the 'Sharing Stories' social history pages, has been retained.

Writers at the Village
Writers came to the Kelvin Grove Urban Village in September, with the opening events for the Brisbane Writers Festival held at the Creative Industries Precinct. More than 300 people attended the master classes and workshops on the opening day, and the 'Feel of Steel' lunchtime panel of crime fiction writers.
In the evening, Orange-prize-winning author Lionel Shriver delivered the opening address at the Roundhouse Theatre and jazz musician James Morrison entertained the crowds with his storytelling and musical performances.

Grey Gums Park opens to the public
The Kelvin Grove Urban Village has a new park, with the completion of Grey Gums Park as part of the final infrastructure works.
Concealed from view from the main streets in the Village, Grey Gums Park is a private pocket of tranquillity, with a shaded round lawn, fitness equipment and abundant bird life in the surrounding trees. The park is named after the Grey Gums scattered through it, which date back to pre-European settlement.
Grey Gums Park can be accessed via Robinson Place, and by stairs off Victoria Park Road.
