A range of QUT facilities are available to people who live or work in the Village area.
Library
Members of the public can join the QUT Library as Individual Associate Members. The cost is $110 per year or $55 per year for health care card holders.
Health Services
QUT’s School of Optometry at the Kelvin Grove Campus offers a comprehensive
Optometry Clinic to members of the public at no cost. Glasses and contact lenses are dispensed through the Clinic at competitive prices.
The School of Public Health also has a
Podiatry Clinic, which delivers patient services and treatments for conditions resulting from age, diabetes, arthritis, sports injuries and circulatory problems.
These clinics will be delivered through the Centre for Health and Clinical Education at 44 Musk Avenue, when it is completed in 2008.
Recreation
The
QUT Student Guild has facilities open to the general public, including a gymnasium, child care centre, physiotherapy clinic, newsagency and a bar. The Kelvin Grove Campus has tennis courts and a football oval available for hire. The Student Guild also runs activities and courses ranging from skydiving and boxing through to car maintenance skills and winery tours.
